After 15 years practicing as a mobile Equine Veterinary in the Greater Los Angeles area, Dr. Sylvia Ouellette is excited to expand her services and begin the next decade as Elite Equine Veterinary Services.
Along with our new name, some of our long term clients may have noticed Sylvia now has a different last name. To those that know Sylvia as Dr. Greenman, we realize that getting used to a new name – especially one that is difficult to pronounce – is going to take time. As a helpful nudge, we have a easy hint on how to pronounce it — Ouellette: wool-let. And to help you remember the change, it might be fun to think of lovely, fuzzy sheep!
Also new in 2010, Elite’s services are expanding with the addition of Affiliate Practitioners to help better serve our clients needs. Among them, Dr. Elizabeth Schilling is a specialist in Equine Dentistry with many years of expertise. She is also a frequent speaker to professional organizations on the topic of Equine Dentistry. Dr. Don Shields specialty is in the field of Ultrasound technology. With an extensive amount of research in this field, Dr. Shields is the inventor of the Statison V low-intensity pulsed ultrasound therapy device. This device has been shown to dramatically stimulate and increase the rate of healing in a wide variety of injured tissues. Its patent-pending variable wave technology™ has put Dr. Shields in the forefront of Ultrasound therapies. Dr. Cathy Canfield, Dr. Heidi Agnic-Wangerin and Dr. Michele Griffin have also joined Elite Equine Veterinary Services to help better serve our clients at all hours of the day and night as part of our emergency rotation.
